Ann Coulter - Whew! I'm certainly glad to hear the "snippets" from Rev. Jeremiah Wright's sermons "in context."
In the famous B. Hussein Obama speech that sent a tingle down Chris Matthews' leg, Obama dismissed the clips of Rev. Wright being played on TV as mere "snippets." He claimed the media were highlighting Wright's "most offensive words," complaining that they had been played endlessly, as if repetition were the problem with the statement: "GOD DAMN AMERICA!"
It's absolutely unheard of to repeat passages from famous speeches. In fact, I have a dream that we will not do that. Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask that the media stop replaying "snippets." All we have to fear is [ ... More ]
In the wake of Hillary Clinton's rock-solid Pennsylvania victory, David Axelrod, the able chief strategist of Barack Obama's campaign, attempted to minimize the political significance of his candidate's having been overwhelmingly rejected by Pennsylvania's working-class voters: "Let's understand — the white working class has gone to the Republican nominee for many elections. Dallas Fire-Rescue calls for more help with EMS Vision plan
Firefighters and paramedics throughout Dallas say they are spread too thin by 911 calls and are in absolute desperate need of relief.
On Monday, Dallas Fire-Rescue Chief Eddie Burns plans to make public a draft proposal to reallocate department resources to address the rising demand.
"The call volume has increased, [and] it has outpaced our current resources," Chief Burns said.
The proposal, known as the EMS Vision plan, focuses on the rising number of emergency medical calls, which make up more than 60 percent of the department's total calls, officials said.
For firefighters and paramedics, one issue stands out above all others: the need for more personnel and equipment.
Officials said the vision plan will call for more resources, although they declined to give specifics.
