Cowboys at Eagles ongoing recap: Scores, highlights, information
The Dallas Cowboys are set to play their penultimate game of this season on Sunday when they visit the Philadelphia Eagles. It is a game that the NFL itself has acknowledged is not exactly exciting as the league flexed it back from the afternoon slate on Sunday to the early one.
As far as Dallas is concerned, they are already eliminated from playoff contention so are playing for pride and to potentially serve as some kind of spoiler. On the other side of things, the Eagles are looking to lock up the NFC East and put themselves in a position to manufacture a bye next week given that their chances of taking the #1 seed in the NFC are all but totally shot.
Basically a Cowboys win on Sunday can do more than further damage the team’s draft position as the last four wins (in five weeks) have. Should Dallas take down their rivals then they will cause them to squirm in the final week of the season, something we can take some slight joy in as the New Year draws close.
Whatever does or does not happen on Sunday, this post will serve as our recap for it. We will update it on a quarterly basis and then re-sort everything in chronological order when the game is done so that it can be read properly.
Let’s go Cowboys!

Notable Recent News
One of the first matters the Cowboys will have to tend to when the offseason begins is Mike McCarthy and whether or not they are going to bring him back. Recent reports suggest that McCarthy could have suitors if Dallas does not. For the record, McCarthy’s contract is expiring so he could choose to leave on his own.

The Cowboys announced a number of roster decisions on Saturday.
The @dallascowboys added TE Princeton Fant (calf) to the injury report following the team’s practice on Saturday, and his status for the game is questionable. The club also made the following transactions:

Up Next For The Cowboys
As you are aware there will be no playoffs for the Cowboys this season which means next week is the last time that we will see them for quite a while. Dallas will host the Washington Commanders in their finale. It remains to be seen if the game will carry any significance for Washington relative to playoff positioning.
