Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month
The Dallas Cowboys won 12 games for the third season in a row in 2023. A huge contributor to that total this year was their kicker, Brandon Aubrey. In December/January, Aubrey made 10 of his 12 field goal attempts and was perfect on 13 extra points. That excellence garnered him Special Teams Player of the Month honors.

Aubrey came into the Cowboys’ season finale against the Washington Commanders a perfect 35 out of 35 on his field goal kicks for the season. However, he had his first attempt blocked, and then he missed his second attempt off the left upright before making his final kick of the year. Still, Aubrey made 94.7% of his kicks for the season which included hitting all four kicks between 40-49 yards as well as a perfect 10 out of 10 on kicks 50 or more yards.
In his first season in the NFL, Aubrey led the league in scoring and was named to the Pro Bowl. Also, he was selected as an All-Pro by the NFLPA. If that’s a sign of things to come, the Cowboys will have an elite kicking game for quite some time.
