The Cowboys had a fantastic Thanksgiving game last year during Week 12, achieving one of their most successful results on Turkey Day. They scored an impressive 45 points and held a 35-point lead, marking one of their largest margins of victory and highest scores on Thanksgiving in the past ten years.

Dak Prescott had an impressive game, throwing four passing touchdowns, the second-most in his career. This was the second time in 2023 that he achieved this feat, and it wouldn’t be the last. He ended the game with a stellar passer rating of 142.1, the highest rating he recorded in 2023, and played perfect by not throwing a single interception.

The defense also did its part, recording four sacks and giving up just one touchdown. DaRon Bland stood out with his interception of Sam Howell, setting a new NFL record with five pick-sixes in a single season.

The victory propelled the team to an incredible winning streak, securing their 13th straight win at home and triumphing in five of the last six meetings against Washington. The outstanding performance of the team enabled many of the starters to rest on the sidelines by the middle of the fourth quarter, showcasing an impressive achievement.

In the 12th week, the Philadelphia Eagles began to face difficulties, experiencing three losses in a row and the team would manage to win only one game in the final six weeks. As a result, the Cowboys seized the opportunity to dominate the NFC East and eventually clinch the division title.
