Dallas Cowboys draft: Cowboys currently hold 15th pick in 2025 NFL Draft
The Dallas Cowboys have won four of their last five games which is great for team morale and the “they are not quitters” mantra. That is a good thing.
In a different sense, this is also a disaster of sorts. It is fair to say that nobody believes the Dallas Cowboys are going to operate in a tanking sort of capacity, but it is objectively fair to say that the team’s recent form has significantly damaged their position in the 2025 NFL Draft order.
The Cowboys currently hold the 15th overall pick in the draft.
If you want to argue that Dallas could/should have lost out when they were 3-7 and we live off of their current strength of schedule (the current tiebreaker) then they would be in position for a top 5 pick. That understandably upsets some people, but as noted there is definitely some value in how the team has played as of late.
Should the Cowboys wind up winning another of their next two games then they have a chance to fall another spot or two further back. Consider that Dallas is playing a Philadelphia Eagles team this week that still needs to wrap up the NFC East (and could do so by beating Dallas), but that it is possible that the Washington Commanders have nothing to play for in the regular season finale which would present another chance for Dallas to win.
Ultimately we are looking at the Cowboys likely picking somewhere around this range.
