Dallas Cowboys playoffs: Dallas will officially host Green Bay Packers in Wild Card Round
If it is ever going to happen for Mike McCarthy’s Dallas Cowboys, this sort of feels like the way for it to start. The it that we are referring to is of course winning the Super Bowl, and given that we have now arrived at the playoffs it seems like an appropriate time to have that discussion. Dallas defeated the Washington Commanders on Sunday to clinch the NFC East title and #2 seed in the NFC, but who they would play in the Wild Card Round was obviously out of their control.
Just a bit after their win became official so did their next opponent.
The Dallas Cowboys will host the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round.
Last time that Dallas faced Green Bay in the postseason was a game also played at AT&T Stadium and was one in which McCarthy was on the other sideline. That matchup following the 2016 regular season was the last time that Dallas hosted a Divisional Round game and if they are successful against the Packers then they will host another.
Overall the Packers are in an interesting place and seem to have really over-delivered in the first season with Jordan Love as the starting quarterback; however, they cannot be underestimated as everything is different in the playoffs.
How are we feeling?
