Dallas police are looking for the driver who fled a traffic stop and jumped from a moving stolen vehicle Thursday morning.
Texas Sky Ranger was overhead as the driver headed through Pleasant Grove at high speeds.
While headed up Jim Miller Road, after crossing South Great Trinity Forest Way, the front left tire fell off the car and began rolling straight toward a child in the roadway. A woman ran toward the child and pulled him out of the way a second before it could have hit him.
Moments later, the driver bailed out of the moving vehicle and began running through an apartment complex.
The latest news from around North Texas.
Dallas police were seen searching a wooded area near the Asante apartments not far from the intersection of South Jim Miller Road and Gayglen Drive.
Two people were detained, a man and a woman, though neither is believed to be the driver.
