Cedar Park (Travis County) — A Fort Worth-based retail nursery chain will be able to establish a location in Cedar Park thanks to a rezoning approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The 3.41-acre property will convert from planned development (PD) to general business (GB).
The proposed commercial site is undeveloped and located at 1201 South Bell Boulevard (U.S. Highway 183) in the southern portion of the city.

Michael Dabney with Cielo Property Group, under the entity Cedar Park 20 Partners LTD, will develop the site on behalf of its client–Calloway’s Nursery of North Richland Hills, a Fort Worth suburb.
The retail nursery was established in 1986 and operates 24 locations in the state.
Anthony Goode with Goode Faith Engineering, out of Cedar Park, submitted a letter to the commission that stated the project “proposes a general parking area, building and a large area for outdoor display.”
Building code setbacks require a 25-foot front setback, a 12-back side setback and a 5-foot side setback.
The P&Z Commission conducted its vote on Nov. 16. City Council will hold a first reading on the item on Dec. 9 and a second reading on Dec. 16.
