Before the arrival of European and American settlers, an ever changing mix of Native American tribes and bands made their homes on the local grasslands and in the forests of the Cross Timbers. In honor of National Native American Heritage Month, Dr. Ferring will explain what archaeology and early records have revealed about the complexity of cultures and history of the predecessors of today’s Native Americans.
