Anna EDC recognized by Dallas Business Journal –

The Anna Economic Development Corporation was recognized by Dallas Business Journal as one of the top 25 economic development agencies in the region for the second consecutive year.  That region is defined by the Journal as Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Grayson, Rockwall, Tarrant and Wise Counites.
Anna ranked 18th with an estimated $61.5 million in commercial deals in 2020. Among the major new projects that occurred during that year were the opening of ER at Anna, Anna Surgery Center, Chick-fil-A, Whataburger, Sunview Cafe, Starbucks, Salsa Tex-Mex
That put the city just behind Burleson Economic Development but directly ahead of economic development corporations in Denton, Rowlett, Garland and Addison.
“We are excited to see that Anna ranks in the top 20 economic development agencies, especially when you consider the competition in our region,” Anna EDC Director Joey Grisham said in a public statement addressing the news. “This is a testament to the vision laid out by the Anna City Council and EDC/CDC Board.”
