It has not even been a week since the 2024 NFL Draft happened, but life moves fast once it does. Hundreds of players are headed for new homes and now figuring out what things will look like moving forward. They have to find places to live, adjust to new settings, and on top of it all be ready to compete in the NFL. Hardly the easy thing.

Among the flurry of changes that players, Dallas Cowboys among them, are experiencing are small things like picking preferences for their uniform, getting keycards to facilities, so on and so forth. One of the things along these lines is being issued jersey numbers with their new teams.

On Tuesday, the mothership announced jersey numbers for the 2024 Dallas Cowboys draft class:

• Tyler Guyton — 60
• Marshawn Kneeland — 94
• Cooper Beebe — 56
• Marist Liufau — 35
• Caelen Carson — 41
• Ryan Flournoy — 19
• Nathan Thomas — 62
• Justin Rogers — 96

The Cowboys held Tyler Guyton’s first press conference with him wearing his number 60 jersey so that one was rather obvious. Obviously the other ones are all newer pieces of information.

You can see that the newest edge rusher on the team. Marshawn Kneeland, was given number 94 which is a big deal in this organization with the history that it has tied to Charles Haley and DeMarcus Ware. The Cowboys gave the number to Randy Gregory in hopes that he would have a career along those lines.

It may be puzzling to see Marist Liufau in number 35 given that last year’s third-round linebacker, DeMarvion Overshown, was wearing that when we last saw him. In case you did not know, he switched to number 13 this season. Also on the subject of alterations you can now find Jalen Tolbert in number 1 and Damone Clark in 18 (which he wore at LSU, a significant thing at that institution).
